This company is looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to carry out & manage reactive & planned structured cabling works to all internal & external clients, in various sectors including commercial, domestic & education.

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing these services in an effective & efficient manner; & within established time limits.

Essential

- Proven experience in structured cabling installations
- Self-Motivation, along with the ability to work as part of a team
- Strong Leadership Skills
- The ability to think laterally
- The ability to plan, organise & prioritise workload
- Computer literate
- The ability to work to the highest quality standards
- The ability to comply with safety rules & regulations of site working
- Good communication skills both written & verbal at all levels
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Full/Clean UK Driving Licence
- ECS/CSCS Card

Desirable

- Experience in Fibre Optic Splicing, Termination & Testing
NVQ or equivalent in Structure Cabling Installations
- Enhanced DBS
- IPAF
- PASMA
- SSSTS

Dimensions of the role

- To install a variety of structured cabling solutions including; Cat5e, 6, 6a, Fibre, Blown Fibre, Voice & panel patching
- Fault Finding, testing & termination using DSX &/or DTX
Fibre splicing; including pigtails, hot & cold cure termination
- Containment installation including trunking, conduit, tray & basketwork
- Professional & effective communication with management, colleagues & customers
- Working in various environments

Description of the role

- Installation of commercial, domestic & education requirements
- Repairs, Servicing & Maintenance
- Leading a team of Engineers & liaising with Project Managers
- Management of task allocation, time frames & workflow
- Carry out works to a high standard & in a competent manner
- Provide a high level of customer service
- To work together with the team to resolve technical issues
- Liaising with all internal departments, clients & contractors
- Understand, interpret & update schematics & drawings/documentation
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on project development
- Forecasting & ordering of materials in liaison with the Project/Purchasing Manager
- Ensure accurate & timely completion of all paperwork
- Ensure photographic evidence of install is taken & downloaded on completion of jobs
- To attend meetings, training sessions, H&S training & meetings i.e. ‘toolbox talks’ & conferences as required
- To act at all times in accordance with the Company’s rules, policies & procedures including the Company’s H&S Policies & Procedures
