An intriguing opportunity for a skilled and highly motivated individual to join a Leeds based hosting and solutions provider. You will be responsible for the expansion of the company’s public cloud platforms, managing network and server infrastructure, architecting and building bespoke solutions for enterprise clients along, with the 3rd line support of these solutions.
You will also be a role model for junior team members, mentoring where needed to increase the breadth of support abilities across the team.
As a critical member of their team, you will be required to have the enthusiasm and initiative to drive their business forward and ensure that they remain on the cutting edge of technology.
Required skills and Experience:
- Experience administering of Windows Server 2012/2016.
- Competent in Switching and Routing.
- Experience and knowledge of storage concepts.
- Accustomed with administering Hyper-V and/or VMware clusters.
- A strong understanding of web hosting concepts, such as DNS.
- Practical experience and understanding of server hardware.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Previous 3rd Line experience
Any experience with the following technologies would be desirable:
- Enterprise level firewalls (Fortinet in particular)
- MS Exchange, Active Directory
- IIS
- Managing Cisco, HP, or Aruba switches via CLI
- VMware/Hyper-V
- Hyper-Converged storage
- Veeam, Mimecast, Backup Exec
- Load Balancing technologies
- Office 365
- Syslog/Netflow/sFlow
- Powershell
You will be working with the latest hyper-converged technologies so a good understanding of networking, virtualisation and knowledge of storage principles would also be advantageous.
