This full-time role (40 hours per week) would suit somebody who has experience of engineering within the vending and coffee machine market and some man-management experience.
You should be excited about leading a small team providing a professional response - within their timescale and KPI standards (first time fix, repeat calls) - to service calls logged by customers experiencing problems into their head office in Bradford.
The success of the service department lies in great teamwork – your team consists of 4 field engineers – 2 covering the London region, 2 in the Midlands, and you will motivate by leading by example, playing a full role in attending calls.
This role regularly involves longer days and extensive travel within area – and also occasional travel to their head office (at least once per month). To meet the needs of their customers’ there is also a monthly call out rota in place where it is expected you participate and share equally amongst your team – this call out includes weekends and will be paid at the set call out rate.
As Senior Field Engineer, your duties include some man-management responsibilities. In addition to work scheduling for your team and providing experienced telephone support, you will be involved in communication, training, monitoring and reporting on your team.
Person Specification:
You will need to:
- Live in the Midlands area – ideally Leicestershire
- Have at least 2 years experience of servicing drinks/snacks vending and small coffee machines – ideally within a larger company
- Have some man management experience
- Display a flexible attitude and strong work ethic
- Be confident and professional in front of customers
- Be able to regularly work on own as well as being a strong and motivational team player
You will additionally need:
- To be physically capable of the requirements of the job – some occasional heavy lifting (up to 25kg)
- a full driving licence and be confident driving long distances
- to be reasonably confident with technology – IT skills
