Senior Electronics Engineer
Starting Salary - £27,906 - £33,305
Band Salary - £27,906 - £38,931

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a small team providing services to a world-renowned research laboratory.

The successful applicant will become a key member of their Electronics Workshop team, designing and building electronic instrumentation and providing support and expertise to the scientific staff.

You will have a higher qualification in electronics (HND or degree) with extensive experience of prototyping and developing a wide range of electronic systems. The ability to design circuit boards and use hand tools to construct the equipment is essential. Ideally you will have experience of designing scientific instrumentation, combined with C software and embedded system skills.

You will be a ‘self-starter’, capable of working under minimal supervision to tight deadlines and to a high standard of workmanship. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills are also very important in this role.

This is a research institute. This is a new entity that brings together nine partners to create an independent organisation with a strong voice for research and innovation.
