This dynamic and rapidly growing innovation management consultancy offers new approaches to support the development and commercialisation of advanced science and technologies. They are also a delivery partner of Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), a key instrument in the EU's strategy to boost growth and jobs.

They are currently recruiting a high calibre and dynamic Senior Business Development Manager to continue the company’s year on year growth and to promote EEN. This is a superb opportunity to be part of a company with high growth potential.

The successful candidate will achieve specific sales targets and deliver a range of strategic business development/sales coaching activities for EEN clients (SMEs across the North West).

The successful candidate is likely to be a proven B2B business developer, with a passion for generating new business sales. This individual will possess a tenacious approach to business-to-business sales, whilst being able to manage the whole process from first contact through to negotiations and closing deals. Experience of consistently hitting sales targets is sought, as is the ability to influence customers from Head of Departments to Directors.

Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing the company’s business development strategy to meet ambitious growth targets
- Providing direction and leading a small team to effectively manage business development opportunities across the company and across the EEN project
- Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of leads and opportunities to hit and exceed targets.
- Reporting weekly and monthly on KPIs, forecast projections from your pipeline to Management
- Developing strong customer relationships and being relied upon as their trusted Adviser
- Negotiating and closing deals with new organisations of all sizes
- Managing new client engagements on a technical, legal and commercial basis
- Attending conferences, meetings and industry events to promote EEN and the company’s offerings
- Preparing and delivering sales and business development strategy workshops and coaching activities for EEN clients

Knowledge and experience:
- Educated to degree level and/or equivalent professional qualification
- +5 years’ business development experience within a professional services environment
- Experience of engaging with high level decision makers, ranging from Directors to Head of Departments
- Experience of developing and closing new b2b sales, consistently meeting sales targets
- Independent self-starter who is highly motivated, with a high level of interpersonal and presentation skills
