Senior Accountant

- £30-40k depending on experience
- Full time

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled, highly motivated individual to join a Leeds-based Technology Service Company, in a standalone role of Senior Accountant dealing with a group of companies with a turnover of £5m.

As a key member of the team, you will be required to have the enthusiasm and vision to drive the business forward and ensure it remains on the cutting edge of technology through contributing to accounting system development and change.

You will:
- Produce Statutory Accounts, monthly Management Accounts, budgets and cash forecasts.
- Be hands-on in dealing with sales analysis, payroll and the processing and payment of supplier invoices.
- Deal with HMRC – Corporation Tax returns, VAT returns, EC sales lists, MOSS returns and PAYE
- Be the first point of contact with the Group’s bankers and auditors
- Fulfil company secretarial duties
- Be a self-starter and contribute to the development of the department and influence system changes.

The following are essential:
- At least 5 years’ experience working in a similar role for a company with a turnover of at least £2m
- Experience with Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll.
- ACA/ACCA qualified (depending on experience)
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets (including lookups and pivot tables)
- Experience in coaching, assisting and guiding non-financial colleagues
