An experienced Secretary is required for a busy private clinic based in Harley Street. This is a very varied role consisting of secretarial and administrative responsibilities and an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

You will be a professional and committed individual with relevant experience working in a secretarial capacity within a private clinic/hospital. Ideally you will have an understanding of the fertility industry and knowledge of the relevant medical terminology.

You will be required to provide a secretarial service to the consultants and their teams, including the typing of letters and general correspondence which requires the use of audio-typing and word processing. Therefore, it is essential that you have experience of offering support at consultant level.

You will also be required to provide administrative support to the Enquiries department, creating new patient registration packs, putting together promotional material for open days and providing back-up support for telephone enquiries.

Essential requirements:

- Good knowledge of medical terminology.
- Provided admin support at consultant level.
- Good experience with audio-typing.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Immaculately presented.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
- Excellent Microsoft Word skills.

Desirable:
- Understanding of the fertility industry.
- Knowledge of HFEA legislation.

Please note that we are regulated by the HFEA and CQC and therefore all staff are required to have an enhanced DBS (formally CRB) check, the cost of which will be met by the Company.

This is a full-time position (40hrs per week) which also includes weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) on a rota basis.
Occasional travel to other clinic locations within the UK will be required on and as and when required basis.
A salary in the range of £18-22K per annum is available for the successful candidate.
