This Bidford-on-Avon based firm of solicitors is looking to recruit a secretary / administrative assistant.

Founded more than 30 years ago, they are a firm dealing with business and private clients mainly in the areas of commercial, wills and probate, and conveyancing. They believe in a friendly personal service and getting the job done quickly, efficiently and pragmatically.

The role:
The primary role of the post-holder is to work for the Commercial Law Department and the Private Client Department, but also in other departments when required.
The office is busy, and an ability to be flexible and multi-task is essential.

Candidate:
Experience as an administrator / secretary in a professional / legal firm is preferred but not essential. You will thrive on a busy, dynamic working environment, take pride in your work, have a strong eye for detail and be a self-motivated, committed team player and unflappable multi-tasker.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational abilities, accurate word-processing skills, a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and mainstream IT issues, and a good standard of numeracy.

Job Description - Main Duties:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Typing and use of digital dictation
- Taking messages and organising diary
- Arranging appointments, preparing legal documents
- Filing, closing and archiving files
- Preparing bills
- Needs to be accurate, keen to learn, proactive
- Minimum of 1 year experience in legal or other professional office is essential

Working hours:
8.30am – 5pm. One hour for lunch.

Salary:
Full time rate £16,000 - £22,000 depending on experience.
