This is a very busy local courier, looking after over 700 top Cambridge companies and right now, they need a professional self-employed owner driver with a hardworking, can-do attitude with a late registered van (sorry no cars) with all the relevant insurances.
Their office is based in Cambridge but they deliver nationwide.
The main purpose of this position is to move consignments on behalf of their customers from one destination to another. The consignments could be anything from an envelope to a 1 tonne machine to pallets. Although most of their customers are Cambridge Area they deliver all over the country and occasionally Internationally.
Responsibilities
- Taking instruction from the Controller on all collections and deliveries
- Making on time collections and deliveries
- Reporting any delays
- Always being polite to customers and helping them where you can
- Making sure all loads are well secured and positioned correctly over the vehicle axle
- Being courteous to other road users.
- Insuring all deliveries have a POD with printed name, time and date.
- The vehicle you are driving is clean and tidy.
- Keeping an ‘eye out’ for potential new customers (perhaps at the point of delivery) and leaving some information.
- Adhering to their Guarantees.
30k upwards, and is limitless depending on your desire to earn
