This is a unique opportunity for a printer to join a leading promotional gift print department, looking for trainee printers and, experienced printers, to join their existing production team.

You will have the opportunity to work with a range of printing equipment including; Digital Printing, Dye Sublimation, Screen Printing, large format, and Transfer Printing, producing work for their diverse client base.

Previous experience working with machinery or in a production environment would be advantageous, however full training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Regularly check printing matches the artwork proofs
- To brand a range of products using various print processes
- Ensure all products are printed on time and in line with company quality standards
- Ensure all machines are maintained and operated in line with company health and safety policies
- Setting up machinery prior to print
- To run a printing machine to produce volume on schedule
- Reporting any issues regarding product, print or machinery to line manager
- Effective time management
- Ensuring production environment is clean and tidy
- Preparing orders for print, packing/ unpacking products, cleaning screens and preparing them for the next orders
- Any other duties to aid the effective running of the production department

Specific Job Skills:
- Ideally experience working in a production environment or interest in the print industry
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes to ensure a consistent way of working
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to learn and retain large volumes of information
- Accountable and reliable

- Self-motivated
- Hard working
- Ideally willing to do overtime in busy periods
- Must be able to work on their own initiative and problem solve with ease and be comfortable working within a small/ medium team
- Must be numerate and literate with qualifications to GCSE level
- Ability to work within a production environment
- It is essential to have a ‘can-do’ attitude and work with the production team to learn the products, processes and systems within the company.
