This is an opportunity to join a long established (since 1993) family business based in Bristol, supplying a diverse range of pocket money giftware, toys and logo printed souvenirs to visitor attractions, garden centres and high street gift/toy shops of all kinds.
Traditionally a wholesaler buying and selling other importers' products, we have spent the last 3 years creating, developing and importing unique, own brand product ranges, which have set them apart in the marketplace. Current turnover is £2m - their goal is £5m within 4 years. Until 2 years ago, the vast majority of their customer base was south west based. They now have a representative in the Midlands, and their next step is to recruit one for the London region. They offer a superb customer experience; sale-or-return on all products, most orders despatched same day, very high level of stock availability and a Net Promotor Score of 100%! So their obvious route to growth is to simply replicate their success in a wider geographical area.
They are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and caring salesperson to look after and develop existing and new accounts throughout the wider London and south east region, as they already have a growing number of customers there and have identified it as an area that is bursting with potential!
The role would involve:
- Telemarketing to book face-to-face appointments
- Travel around wider London and the south east region to maintain and develop relationships via face-to-face visits etc. with existing client base - showing them samples of new toy, gift and souvenir items, and taking orders
- Open new accounts (assisted by proven strategies)
- Sufficient one-on-one training would be provided
- Detailed competitor information and proven objection handling/closing techniques for this industry would be provided
- Basic salary £30-£50k (depending on calibre and experience of the candidate) plus commission
They would require you to visit their Bristol office once every 2-3 weeks for sales meetings
