The Role

My client is looking for an ambitious Sales Manager to lead and expand their sales team.

Leaders in their field, my client is in search of an accomplished Sales Manager who will take full responsibility for the sales team, their results, and the quality of customer interactions.

The role will suit a professional sales manager who can lead a large internal sales team and is adept at mixing a disciplined approach to process and activity levels with high-quality training and coaching.

There is a real capacity to expand the role and grow within the business. This is the first senior hire in a company that has grown from inception to £15M+ profitable annual revenue in less than two years.

The key skills and qualities required of the Sales Manager are:

- Responsible, own results and actions to improve.
- Motivated, able to transfer his or her own high-tempo approach to the team.
- Independent, will thrive reporting directly to the Managing Director, operating with high levels of autonomy.
- Disciplined, working in a regulated sector, able to embrace and improve processes as part of the recipe for fast, profitable growth.
- Rounded, able to approach the role and the pressure that will come with it, with good humour and a sense of fun.

Required experience:

- Sales management
- Recruitment and training of sales teams
- Knowledge of sales concepts and methodologies
- Beneficial but not essential:
- Experience in a regulated sector such as finance products
- Motor trade experience
- Use of social media in a B2C environment for lead generation
