CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Assist National Sales Manager optimise sales in wholesale / independent / pet multiple / grocery / garden centre / convenience / non-pet retail / third party online / trade channels
- General administration of client accounts
- Schedule meetings / calls / reviews
- Help prepare pitches / samples / sales history
- Competitor analysis
- First contact for new independent retailers – UK and overseas
- Process incoming inquiries
- Respond to requests for product / price information / terms
- Process new wholesaler and retailer listings
- Sales support for independent retailers – face to face and telephone
- Direct relationship management / sales liaison
- Briefing on new products / offers / promotions / case studies
- Secure repeat orders / maximise sell through
- Oversee merchandising and marcomms for promotions
- Manage order processing – direct and transfer orders
- Manage effective sales plans and strategies as directed by the National Sales Manager to realise company objectives and build profitable long-term relationships with customers

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum three years relevant Pet Sector experience
- A proven track record in sales / sales support
- Self-motivated and keen to succeed
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A valid driver’s license
