Package: Basic salary of £20,000 p.a. - £30,000 p.a. (depending on experience) plus uncapped commission, expenses, mobile phone and company car.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established company with over 30 years of experience in developing new, innovative, high quality healthcare, nutritional products (vitamins, supplements, etc.) which are available through leading independent pharmacies and health food stores.

They are currently looking for Area/Field Sales Manager to sell to existing customers (pharmacies and health food stores), develop new business opportunities, create brand awareness and provide a first class service to their customers in the following counties: Cleveland, Cheshire, Humberside, Lancashire, Merseyside, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Yorkshire.

The ideal candidate should be preferably located in and around Manchester, Sheffield or Leeds - being within easy reach to all of these areas.

Key accountabilities:

- Visit 4-5 customers a day on eight weekly journey cycle;
- Agree orders with the buyers and forward to Head Office for processing, invoicing and dispatch;
- Understand Customer needs and requirements in order to recognise opportunities and maximise Sales;
- Motivate and train retailer staff to provide the necessary skills and to encourage the sale of the Company’s products in preference to those of the competitors;
- Ensure that the Company products are effectively merchandised in store in order to maximise visibility, ‘risk of sale’ and potential volume;
- Prospecting/Cold calling and new customer acquisition;

Candidates should ideally:

- Have field sales experience
- Possess track record of selling within B2B environment
- Experience in selling wide range of products
- Be prepared to travel extensively across the wider North West England and stay overnight if required
- Have experience in journey planning and large territory management
- Possess excellent B2B presentation and negotiation skills
- Have UK driving licence
