An experienced Sales Ledger and Payroll Administrator is required to join a growing small Aim listed PLC. You will be part of a small dynamic Finance team reporting to the Financial Controller handling the day to day transactions of this manufacturing and project based Group which stretches across multiple locations and companies.

The primary duties of the role will be:
- Day to day ownership of the Group’s Sales Ledger function
- Regular credit control including chasing all overdue debts.
- Reporting to the FC and board on Order Intake, Sales Ledger and debtor age.
- Identification of Invoicing issues, investigation and resolution through to cash.
- Support for the Sales Order process including order input and checking.
- Monitor and review the sales ledger to ensure tidiness and accuracy
- Setup of suppliers / customers including credit checking
- Payroll including overtime calculations, timesheet processing, P11D, P45, P60, NIC, pension calculations and reporting
- Preparation of Accounting journals for Payroll
- Handling of payroll queries, absence monitoring etc

The key skills you will be able to demonstrate at interview are:
- Proven experience in managing SME accounts ledgers
- Excellent understanding of inventory handling (including reverse logistics)
- Knowledge of double entry / good maths
- Comfortable with fully integrated ERP systems (SAP B1 advantageous)
- Experience of both Sage and outsourced payroll preferred
- Proficient in excel and other MS office applications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised
- An ability to learn quickly and find solutions to problems
- A willingness to take on more and be involved in all aspects of the team’s work
- Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
