This market leader in pressure, temperature and level measurement technology is looking to recruit an Internal Sales Engineer.

The Internal Sales Engineer is primarily responsible for providing professional and competent support and service, to existing and prospective IN Division customers. The Internal Sales Engineer is expected to build positive relationships both internally and externally and be responsible for the efficient, effective, handling of the entire quotation and technical support process so they meet customer expectations and are in accordance with the Sales Charter & other Company procedures.

The Internal Sales Engineer will be proactive in developing all communication channels to win orders, promote the complete company capability and obtain market and competitor information & to assist the IN Division as a whole.

Main Duties:

- Be aware of both individual and departmental expected standards, objectives, targets and commitments of the Sales Charter and ensure they are maintained at all times.
- Respond in a professional and technically competent manner to customer enquiries within the time frame expected by the enquirer and in accordance to the Sales Charter.
- Provide professional and responsive query resolution and outstanding customer service.
- Work with the Area Sales Manager, Product Managers, Customer Service Representative and Lead Generator to retain all current business and win new business.
- Take ownership of the complete sales process from enquiry through to payment, which will involve co-ordinating activity with colleagues and other departments where necessary. Work with the Customer Service Representative to ensure orders are processed correctly, within the agreed time frame and in accordance with the Company’s procedures, Sales Charter and work instructions.
- Ensure Enquiry to Quote Turnaround Time is according to Area, Division & Company Dashboard targets.
- Ensure robust quotation follow-ups are carried out according to Area, Division & Company Dashboard targets and log details of the follow ups in the Activity fields in the Company CRM System.
- Investigate & provide professional and responsive query resolution to customer claims, complaints and facilitate satisfactory resolution.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement process, including Kaizen activities & commitment to the Sales Charter.
- Keep clear records of activity and calls using the Company’s Day Books.
- Work with the Internal Sales Manager on other projects and assignments where appropriate.
