Family owned and Run Company with more than a century of history in the dynamic city of Bristol is creating this exciting new role. This is the first new Director post to be made in two decades reflects the company’s growth; forward thinking approach to their recent investment.

This Customer centric Commercial Director will have end to end responsibility for the sales proposition and lead a team of highly experienced sales and marketing individuals. They are looking for a collaborative and visionary leader, who can work with influence as a member of the senior Executive Team to assist in the delivery of the strategic plan working across disciplines.

The business seeks an individual that understands and values the marketable benefits of an independent company in the B2B sector. The company has grown strong roots in the delivery and customer service of cleaning and catering products and wishes to build on its century old foundation. Experience in digital marketing and leading change management would be beneficial. This person will need to demonstrate energy with an ability to direct and motivate cross functional teams. The job requires a logical individual who can give order to complex issues.

Following recent technological investment this Director will build engagement strategies with their customers, suppliers and geographical trading communities. Strong data management ability is required to direct this activity.

This post will report directly to the Managing Director.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Working primarily from the Bristol Head office you will develop an aligned sales and marketing strategy to deliver growth within their existing customer base as well as in new areas and markets.
- You will be the champion for exceeding customer expectations, by engaging with all aspects of the business to ensure they deliver consistent industry leading service to their customers from all branches, reporting to the board on key KPIs
- You will be a customer ambassador with the scope to change and drive improvements.
- You will be expected to take an active role in Bristol commercial relationships, developing customers and opportunities within the cities in which we trade.

Requirements
- Proven success in sales and marketing a broad range of goods, ideally in the B2B sector
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills deliverable at all levels
- Ability to prepare and manage budgets
- Strong analytical ability
- Demonstrate ability to evaluate team and individual performance and evidence development
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Strength of character resilient to challenges and with the ability to develop self
