This company is a leading manufacturer of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps for transferring and metering liquids from barrels and tanks. Key markets served include food, pharmaceutical, chemical and industrial.

The Role

Due to ongoing growth, they currently have an opportunity to join their small, friendly team. The role is primarily an internal sales support position reporting to the UK manager and will require a level of IT knowledge and technical aptitude, as well as an ability to communicate at all levels. The position would suit a friendly, customer focussed individual looking for a role in sales or operations.

Responsibilities

- Gain basic knowledge of the range of pumps and pumping applications.
- Discuss customers’ requirements through questioning and providing quotes. Be conscious of customer needs.
- Answer sales enquiries, use CRM system and assist two external sales staff.
- Load sales orders and purchase orders into ProAlpha ERP business management software.
- Stock handling, order fulfilment, packing and shipping

Skills and Experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a key requirement for the role
- Ability to challenge and question in order to ultimately satisfy the customer’s needs
- Possess strong IT administration skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential
- Desire to succeed and help profitably grow the business

Additional Requirements

- Qualified to A / AS level (or equivalent) ideally in business, marketing, mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines
- A desire and ability to learn, develop and improve on new and existing skills
- A desire to work in a small and friendly team
- Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks as required within a small business
- Ability to work independently using own initiative
- Flexible team player
- Fluent English speaker
- Possess a Full UK Driving Licence

Working Hours

Preferably full-time Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5:00 pm, however part-time working may also considered.

Working Environment

Work will primarily be office based, however, there may occasionally be a requirement to travel to customers within the UK.

Training

The candidate will receive product and application training. This may be involve travel to the factory near Stuttgart, Germany. There will be career development opportunities for the right candidate.
