This is an opportunity to join Manchester’s venue for children and families dedicated to inspiring creativity in generations of young people by delivering a broad range of visual and performing arts events, performances, exhibitions, activities, workshops and participatory opportunities.

Along with their own program, they also hire out spaces for meetings conferences and performances. They need a friendly, enthusiastic and organised person to join their team as their room bookings coordinator.

Your main duties would be

- Dealing with all bookings enquiries and sending out invoices and contracts
- Being the main point of contact for event booking customers on all aspects of their event, including catering requirements, stewarding, event timings, equipment needs etc.
- Liaising with their creative team to ensure spaces are booked for their own classes and productions
- Providing tours of the building and facilities to prospective hirers.
- Having a proactive focus on promoting and selling room hires and packages to ensure reaching our hire income targets •

Key Skills:
- Experience of coordinating bookings or a similar role requiring good administrative skills, logistical skills and initiative
- Knowledge and experience of using IT, including the use of Microsoft Office Software.
- Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and deal with conflicting demands.

The following attributes would be desirable:
- Experience of bookings software (artifax)
- Experience of working in a multifunctional, creative environment.
- Experience of event coordination in an arts venue

The salary is £18,000 per annum
