This company is one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality static storage solutions, state of the art intra logistics and automated material handling systems

With this continued growth they are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to work within a customer site based at Marks and Spencer in Castle Donnington.

You will be responsible for supporting the team with day to day maintenance of fast flowing material handling equipment as well as delivering key service elements including planned preventative maintenance, fault rectification and eradication.

Key responsibilities/duties include:
- Effectively support the RM team
- Support Multi Skilled Engineers with reactive and preventative maintenance including troubleshooting with Roller/Belt Conveyors, High Bay Cranes (Pallet and Tote), Pick to Light Systems, Sortation, Storage carousels, Carton Assembly, Strapping, Wrapping, Spiral and Telescopic Conveyors
- Record activities using the CMMS system
- Ensuring the customer receives the agreed level of support
- Proactively promote and comply with all procedures and health and safety regulations

Effective communication is essential for this role in order to balance the demands of supporting the Engineering team as well as the needs of the Customer. You will have the ability to support with problems effectively therefore thinking on your feet quickly to support with issues/faults proactively minimising down time and actively working to key performance indicators. Due to the nature of the environment it is essential to have a good working knowledge of Health & Safety alongside working towards accredited qualifications in electrical and mechanical discipline. You will be able to demonstrate the following skills in addition to the relevant job description requirements:

- Written and verbal communication at all levels
- High standards of customer service and professional manner
- Confident with IT packages, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
- Great attention to detail and team working skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload and manage own time
- Problem solving

To apply for this position, the minimum requirements are as follows:
- Working towards ONC/HNC/BTEC/HND or equivalent in electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or PLC Engineering or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Understanding of SCADA Systems and WCS (Warehouse Control Systems)
- Experience of automated materials handling equipment
- Ability to work/rescue at height is a must

This is a shift based role at a 24/7 distribution centre working day shifts (6am to 6pm) and night shifts (6pm to 6am) including weekends and bank holidays. Shifts are scheduled on a rotation basis with approximately 2 weekends off in a 4 week period and 4/5 days off between each sift pattern.

£22,000 to £26,000 dependant on experience plus 25% shift supplement for hours between 23.00 to 07.00.
