As Retail Floor Manager you will play an important part in the successful management of the store. Working in a busy, dynamic environment that changes every day, you will be responsible for maximising profitability and meeting or exceeding commercial targets, whilst ensuring that the day-to-day management and operation of the store is successful.

Roles & Responsibilities 

- To manage the store's overall operations, ensuring maximum profitability and provision of excellent customer service.
- To contribute towards maximising profits through management of sales volumes and figures; organisation of incentive-based promotions and sales; and use of sales skills on the shop floor. 
- Management of stock levels, including ordering and stock control. 
- Management of a team of staff. This will include interviewing and hiring new staff members, overseeing HR processes such as management of holidays and weekly rotas, providing staff training, resolving any legal or health and safety issues, and ensuring high standards are consistently met and maintained. 
- To contribute to the overall success of the business through working with different teams within the company, such as the Marketing and Buying departments.  
- Maintain a strong awareness of the current market and industry competitors, implementing new processes to uphold a competitive advantage. 
- Use of analytical software to review and interpret sales figures; conceptualising and implementing processes to improve upon sales figures. 

About You 

- Previous retail management experience is essential. 
- Excellent leadership and communication skills are a must: you're able to both motivate and inspire your team, setting and maintaining consistently high standards. 
- You're a strong team player and are comfortable both working with others and independently, thinking on your feet and taking initiative. 
- You are able to efficiently delegate and prioritise tasks in a busy, fast paced environment. 
- You are confident in analysing sales figures and trends. 

Hours 

Full time, including weekend work.
