Residential Property Legal Secretary/Paralegal Edinburgh

This company is looking for an experienced residential property/conveyancing paralegal to join their Leith office team at 98-99 Ferry Road, Edinburgh. They will also consider applications from legal secretaries with relevant experience and a desire to progress.

Their Leith offices deal with a variety of property, business, employment law, litigation and private client work, in close association with their Davidsons Mains office. On the property side they are keen to add to their excellent team and continue to grow the business.

The successful candidate will be confident, friendly, and able to undertake delegated work on files from a Director and to deal with their own files to a large extent. This role will include client facing aspects, and it is therefore important that the successful candidate is both technically sound with good attention to detail, and a good communicator. Dealing with matters well and in a manner that is helpful to their clients is their principal aim.

Their office is open-plan, with a good atmosphere and a sense of team work. It is important to us that whoever joins them is a team player with a “can-do” attitude.

The main elements of the role will include:

- Assisting one of their Directors in dealing with his files
- Working autonomously on new files
- Taking instructions from clients
- Dealing with all aspects of missives
- Dealing with all aspects of the conveyancing process in purchases, sales, remortgages and discharges
- Completing LBTT and Registration processes
- Prioritising workload sensibly
- Ensuring a high level of client service
- Assisting as appropriate with other related office work

They are keen to hear from applicants with experience in the above areas, who have pride in their work and who are looking for a long term role with a forward thinking firm.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, and they offer a firm pension scheme.
