This registered charity works with individuals who are in contact with the criminal justice system across Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas.

The main focus of the Trust’s work is resettlement and rehabilitation support including employability; accommodation; finance and debt; and children and families; and over 2,000 clients access our services each year.

They are contracted to deliver a number of resettlement contracts to support prisoners address barriers to successfully reintegrating into society on release. Interventions include:

- Support to access accommodation on release;
- Information, advice and guidance (IAG) about learning and work;
- Disclosure support;
- Assistance with money management and budgeting;
- Employability interventions e.g. CV’s interview techniques, job search; obtaining ID;
- Support to access training and education opportunities

In addition to the 1-1 and small group delivery of the interventions above, staff are also involved with regular liaison with prison departments, Probation, housing providers, DWP, community support organisations etc.

They are now looking for a Resettlement / IAG Officer to join their team. This post will be based at HMP Whatton, a category C prison for adult males convicted of sexual offences at Whatton near Bingham in Nottinghamshire.

Ideally you will have the following
- a minimum NVQ3 in Advice, or an NVQ4 in Guidance.
- experience of supporting individuals to overcome barriers and progress in their life

The starting salary for practitioners holding a relevant Level 4 qualification is £21,401. We also have a band for practitioners holding a relevant level 3 qualification and working towards level 4, which commences at £18,540, as well as a trainee band for people new to this work, starting at £17,000. The starting salary within a band is dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.

The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS and prison vetting.
