Rehabilitation Officer for people with a Vision Impairment
This national charity is looking for a motivated, flexible and dedicated professional to join their team of Rehabilitation Officers. The successful candidate will provide the full range of VI rehabilitation and training services to their members including assessments and training in orientation and mobility, communications, low vision and independent living skills, with some flexibility needed outside core working hours. You’ll also carry out regular home visits to their members, which may require overnight stays.
The Rehabilitation Officer will have a DipHE in Rehabilitation Studies (VI) or an equivalent qualification in a rehabilitation or relevant field (eg. Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Reablement, Health or Social Care); be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have excellent communication skills. They are willing to provide in-house training for the right candidate.
