This company is the largest manufacturer of fires and fire surrounds in the UK and is also a leading brand in bathroom and bedroom furniture to both retail and contract customers. Their customers include independent and large brand national retailers, private and social housing providers and merchants.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a Merchandising Technician to support the business covering the Midlands region. Applicants must have a flexible outlook with working hours and be comfortable with overnight stays. Possess confidence and ability using tools and equipment and also be able to demonstrate a flair for basic carpentry/joinery type tasks. Full training will be given together with a company vehicle.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Visiting major retail customers ensuring products on display look their very best
- Liaising with retailer staff
- Support all divisions of the business
- Installation and display work
- Visit customers in their homes undertaking warranty repair work
Personal Skills and Abilities:
- DIY skills
- Be a practical problem solver
- Confident, self-motivated with can-do attitude
- Good communicator, both orally & written
- Have good planning/organisational skills
- Be able to work using own initiative
- PC literate
- Have a full UK driving license
