This Marina is situated alongside the Tewitfield Locks on the Lancaster Canal just outside Carnforth. The purpose built site offers luxury holiday accommodation, private holiday homes and private boat mooring. The Marina forms part of a family owned company based in Kendal. Within the group of businesses they operate residential and commercial lettings, self-catering holidays, 5 holiday parks, private holiday home ownership, retail outlets and two heritage visitor attractions.

They are seeking an experienced and versatile individual to join their team at the Marina. You will provide a welcoming and efficient reception service, meeting and greeting customers or visitors and dealing efficiently with their enquiries. You will also be the first point of contact for incoming telephone and email enquiries which will require professional, enthusiastic and effective handling.

35 hours per week to include some weekend and Bank Holiday working

About the Role:

Key responsibilities will be, but not be limited to:

- To undertake a wide range of receptionist and office administrative duties
- To deliver excellent customer service at every stage of the customer journey, listening to customers' requirements or concerns with genuine warmth and interest
- To provide a welcome service to guests and visitors to the Marina to include checking in and allocating holiday apartments.
- To develop good relationships with customers, achieving at all times a high standard of customer service.
- Keeping abreast of local news and events and sharing this with both colleagues and customers.
- To assist with record keeping, cash handling, issuing of receipts and other documentation in connection with the operation of the site.
- At all times to work in a safe manner, raising any health & safety concerns immediately with your Line Manager. Also to be aware at all times of the health & safety of their customers and any other persons on site.
- To undertake any other tasks required from time to time which may contribute towards the successful operation of the Company.

Reporting:
The Receptionist will report directly to the Marina Manager.

Person Specification:
Someone who has a genuine passion for customer service and enjoys working as part of a small team.
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage customer expectations effectively, be flexible, focused, self-motivated and be efficient at time management and organisation.

Leave Entitlement
28 working days (pro rata) per annum inclusive of bank holidays
