Created by ex-big-four specialists with unique methodologies in delivering key technical services including R&D tax relief / innovation incentive, investment funding & other offerings to scientific & tech companies, from FTSE 100 companies to start-ups.

They are seeking dynamic and ambitious R&D Technical Consultants (and high calibre technical graduate) from technology, software, or engineering background with excellent communication and client facing skills particularly in relation to presentations and technical writing.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled and experienced engineers, scientists and consultants working on high end innovative developments. This role is a client facing role where the consultant will be delivering work for clients from a wide range of industrial sectors, reviewing their scientific or/and their technological activities.

Ongoing training will be provided for successful applicants and you will be actively working with internal and external teams. As such, excellent people and writing skills , managing clients’ expectations and meeting deadlines are paramount.

As Technical Consultant, you will have:

- A recognised Software, Mechanical engineering or Computer Sciences university degree (B.Eng., BSc. preferably MSc and / or PhD).

- Excellent communication (both written and spoken) and people skills with the ability to analyse complex technical and legislative concepts

- High reliability and excellent attention to details is crucial

- Proven experience of managing several projects simultaneously and managing clients’ expectations with a track record of meeting deadlines

- I.T. literate, competent user of Microsoft Office

- Willingness to travel within the UK - to clients' premises for meetings and on-site meetings and as needed.

Advantageous:

- Extensive experience in preparing successful R&D tax relief claims

- Technical background in combination with a business, accounting or documentation reporting experience would be advantageous

Main Responsibilities will include:

- Project Lead/Manage the entire client delivery process from initial research through to finalisation

- Ensuring R&D claims meet the requirements of relevant tax legislation and guidelines

- Meetings/discussions with clients to identify qualifying R&D projects and expenditures

- Work with costing/financial team to perform technical assessments and develop technical narratives

- Preparation of R&D claim technical deliveries and liaison with both internal and external tax teams to ensure the information correctly reflect the outcome of technical assessments
