This company specialises in anaesthetic vaporisers, anaesthesia machines and associated products. Their design and service engineers have years of experience within the industry and all of their products are manufactured to the highest possible standards, in their CE Certified CNC machine shop, which adheres to ISO:9001 and ISO:13485.

They are now looking for an experienced design engineer to join their R&D department onsite in Skipton.

The role will involve:
- Providing engineering support for projects and ensure good quality engineering support is provided to various departments.
- Using CAD packages, be responsible for generating models of components and completing detail drawings to document the model.
- Maintaining records and data bases within the department
- Developing solutions with various internal departments co-ordinating design, development, and manufacturing engineering activities.

Candidate must have:

- Bachelors (Hons) Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) or 5 years relevant experience in Product Design Engineering.
- Thorough understanding of engineering drawings.
- Be proficient in use of Microsoft - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.
- Experience with CREO/ProE
- Work on own initiative
- Lead projects independently and as a team
- Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Produce assembly instructions and BOMS
- Good grasp of current technologies with a will to develop and progress
- Good team player and willing to go the extra mile and provide support through extra hours when necessary

Some familiarity with the following features will be advantageous: -

- Skilled usage of CAD packages such as Solidworks, Inventor, Nx, Catia
- Working with sheet metal and fabrication design
- Be able to produce a photo-realistic renders and drawings
- Producing Finite Element analysis (FEA) reports.
- Surface modelling
- CAM experience
- Full UK driving license
- Basic practical machining skills

Salary negotiable, depending on experience. This is a full time role, 40 hours per week.
