The Quantity/Claims Surveyor will be based in Crawley and work with a geographically diverse and growing Commercial Department. As well as being experienced in carrying out all duties in relation to cost management including cost mitigation, vetting contracts, preparing sub-contracts, valuations, agreeing and processing sub-contractor payments. They should also be proficient in preparation of claim documents for EoT’s, loss and expense and delay and disruption claims. They will be highly numerate and a strong communicator with demonstrable skills in financial management, negotiation and costing. A good knowledge of contracts is essential.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and team worker who has 5-10 years’ experience ideally within earthworks/remediation with a sound knowledge of the civil engineering sector. A QS degree is preferable but suitable experience will be considered. The salary will be paid according to the level of experience and skill. Contractors will be considered.
The role is a temporary to possible permanent within 6 months.
