DESCRIPTION:

Due to continuous expansion and growth of a national and international manufacturer and supplier of transmission clutch and brake discs, they have an excellent opportunity for a competent and dedicated Quality Inspector to join their team.

Candidates shall have experience of working to ISO 9001: 2015 standards and a proven background of working in a mechanical engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing background. Knowledge of quality processes, raising NCRs, first off and last off inspections is essential.

Candidates must also have experience with using fixed and variable gauges and measuring equipment and demonstrate ability to read engineering drawings.

The company was started in the UK in 1991, with the specific goal of providing a product and service to a standard that had previously been unavailable, to the earthmoving and mining aftermarkets. Key personnel were drawn together from various backgrounds that collectively had many years’ experience in this field.

Today all genuine FMC parts are supplied and manufactured in their own facilities based in Nottinghamshire, England, or from their tooling at key manufacturers around the world. The range is extensive and covers many sectors including Agriculture, Earthmoving, Forklift, Mining and Marine.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Utilise control plans and perform inspection and test for First and Last off (or Final release) inspection, ISIR and PPAP as required.
- Gauge issue and control, gauge and instrument calibration and maintenance of calibration records.
- Support the company audit plan through planning, completing and reporting audits as directed by the Quality Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Knowledge of quality processes (corrective action and root cause analysis).
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of Calibration
- Previous training, experience or qualifications in Technical sales or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to easily build rapport and strong working relationships.
- Excellent organisational and analytic skills.
- Collaboration and team working skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Application e.g. MS Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.
