This company is a Sheffield-based international stockist and distributor of corrosion and creep resistant metals for oil & gas, power generation and chemical industries.

They have an opportunity to recruit a quality coordinator to join their team.

They work in a busy and fast paced environment (shipping most of their UK orders on a same day / next day basis), enjoy creating lasting relationships with customers, and finding new customers, new markets and new sales opportunities. Successful candidates should therefore enjoy pressure and the satisfaction that comes from fulfilling customer needs.

The overall role will be to help them achieve excellence in their internal processes and maximise the potential of their ISO 9001:2015 accreditation. The brief is varied and they want to recruit someone who is flexible and eager to take on new challenges and skills as the Company grows. Typical duties will be:

- Contract review of sales orders.
- Liaising with their warehouse supervisor to ensure workloads are communicated into the sales quotation & order routines.
- Liaising between the Warehouse and Sales staff to ensure that orders not going to be despatched on time, and actions taken to rectify the situation, are communicated to the customer.
- Coordination of processing orders to ensure speedy delivery & return / reporting of jobs with subcontractors.
- Review / Entry of mill certificates to our certification system, and the automatic checking against international standards and customer specifications.
- Review of supplier performance and qualification of approved material suppliers, subcontractors, and hauliers / carriers.
- Analysis of non-conformances (internally & externally reported) and follow through of actions to eliminate problems and improve Company performance.
- Conduct internal quality audits
- Liaison with customers with regard to any performance issues they have with us.
- Be part of the team that analyse and reviews new customers, suppliers, products and markets.

As a Company, they continually strive to do things better. They are not the biggest in the area but have a good reputation that we value and prize. They give responsibility with a light touch, and encourage all their colleagues to take the initiative in developing what they offer to customers. In return you must be willing to work hard and enjoy life.

Salary: up to £23,000 pa plus bonus, pension and 35 days holiday per annum.
