An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Control Technician to join their Quality Control department.
You will be responsible for the sampling, testing, measuring, accurate recording and analysing of finished goods, raw materials and bought in finished goods to ensure they meet product performance requirements.
All laboratory work must be undertaken in line with the company's Quality and Health and Safety procedures.
Key areas of Responsibility:
- Follow QC procedures necessary to ensure the efficient throughput of samples of the QC laboratory.
- Liaising with production staff on all matters regarding ensuring the quality of finished product, with particular reference to batches that do not comply with the required specification to eliminate repeat problems.
- Assist in Production meetings to provide lab assistance, where required.
- Ensure all test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated in accordance with quality procedures.
- Ensure that all documents relevant to the QC function are handled and stored in a safe and secure manner.
- Maintain a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness in the QC laboratory.
The Key Skills and Experiences required for this role are as follows;
Essential
- A minimum of 5 years previous laboratory / QC based experience
- GCSE’s in Maths, English and a scientific discipline
- Work unsupervised
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills when dealing with other lab and m manufacturing based staff
- Good housekeeping
- Computer literate – familiarity with Microsoft Office
