We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Control & Returns Team Manager to join our reputable company, working in the independent automotive aftermarket.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team which will support the setup of the new 215,000 sq. ft. Distribution Centre, employing state of the art automated storage and retrieval systems.
The initial facility will be developed to pick up to 150,000 units across 37,000 order lines per day. With extension space the facility has the potential of handling in excess of 55,000 order lines daily.

The Quality Control & Returns Team Manager will manage the goods inwards inspection process ensuring visual and physical inspections are carried out on all new or required products. The recording of outcomes and communication and resolution of all quality-related matters with the relevant internal or external contacts to ensure the product quality and therefore the protection of the brand. They will also manage the returns process ensuring a prompt credit repayment to customers and products fit for re-sale.

The role

- Coordinate and manage the Team of Quality Inspectors in cooperation with the QAA Manager HQ.
- Responsible for the calibration and testing of measurement equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.
- Ensures a uniform Goods- In Inspection Level within the group
- Coordinates internal inquiries and corresponding consultations
- Ensures returned parts are processed quickly and efficiently to provide quick efficient credit for customers
- Creates regular reports and analysis of returned parts
- Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards
- Responsible for people management: development, reviews, recruitment and employee relations issues
- Ensure yourself and your team strictly follows the Health & Safety policies and procedures, fostering a culture of working safely

Skills and Experience

- Experience in similar Goods-In Inspection role (ideally within automotive background)
- Ability to read and interpret suppliers technical drawings correctly
- Knowledge about function and use of parts to be inspected is desirable
- Supervisory and Team Leader/Manager skills and experience, with the ability to motivate, develop and supervise others
