The purpose of this role is to ensure that company products meet quality standards including reliability, application of use and performance by planning and coordinating quality assurance audits and correct action projects.

Responsibilities

- Day to day management of QA Engineers. Manage, motivate, coach and develop the Quality Assurance team.
- Provide training and technical support to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Improve the Quality culture to develop a customer focused right first-time approach to quality, with every employee committed to customer satisfaction.
- Management of customer complaints, ensure robust reporting system is in place that drives continuous improvement – review and challenge measures to raise standards and ensure robust feedback processes are in place, escalating risks and / or concerns to ensure swift corrective action is implemented.
- Implement a continuous improvement programme that aligns with the requirements of the company.
- Maintain product compliance at the highest standard by regularly auditing internal and external processes to ensure repeatability and reproducibility.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the governance strategy in relation to non-conformances and quality assurance.
- Lead project teams to investigate root cause(s) of non-conformances, identify and ensure implementation of corrective / preventative actions to continuously improve quality.
- Develop and maintain a quality assurance procedure for raw materials working with Supply Chain to audit incoming materials against company and supplier specifications.
- Ensure the communication of any changes to process control plans are in line with company change control procedures.
- Contribute and implement initiatives in all areas of the business that lead to a reduction in cost of quality.
- Build quality into all business processes by challenging all members of the organisation.
- Enpower anyone within the company to stop a process.
- Such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably expected.

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

- Degree level in either Textile Technology or appropriate equivalent.
- Management and leadership skills and experience.
- Experience in business process analysis, improvement tools and re-engineering is desirable.
- Outstanding textiles technical knowledge
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential

Additional requirements
- Full, clean driving licence as some driving will be required in this role.
