This company supplies British and imported Fresh Produce within the UK & EU. Their customer base is wholesale, foodservice, retail packing and food processors/juicers.
They require a QC warehouse candidate to be part of an exciting period of growth for the business.
The Role
Day to day responsibility for the quality of all incoming and outgoing goods including stock management and rotation
Daily duties will involve:
- Management of all stocks for warehousing including managing arrival reports
- Quality check of all incoming product delivered on a day to day basis into our Evesham Depot
- Completion of QC reports for all incoming product including photos and grades
- Daily assessment of all stock items and estimated shelf life
- Quality check of all outgoing product on our nightly distribution
- Keeping a record of and minimising waste
- Assist sales team with stock queries when required
- Sorting of any product that is not up to spec before this product can be distributed to customers
- Being the main point of contact between sales and Transport/warehouse regarding stock discrepancies and short/damaged goods on delivery
The Candidate As QC you should have;
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving
- The ability to communicate face to face, phone and by email with multi-cultural suppliers and colleagues.
- A positive can do attitude and flexible approach towards work.
- Must be able to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Good computer skills including Word and Excel
- Self-motivated, Attention to detail, high quality standards
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within Fresh Produce / Food Production / FMCG environment
- Driving license/car essential in order to get to the warehouse
Hours: Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm approx. May require some weekend work when required.
