The Role

They are now looking for a Purchasing Controller to join the team in Montrose who is capable of building relationships with all external suppliers.

Knowledge and Experience

- Primarily responsible for the purchasing of raw materials, maintaining stock levels and organisation of incoming stocks.
- Secondary responsible for the validation of the production route and costs and the internal inputting of customer orders to the system.
- To assist the other members of the sales team to ensure timely, accurate output of all works orders.
- To participate in several weekly production meetings to ensure all jobs are processed efficiently and to customer delivery deadlines.
- To provide guidance/support to the sales team on material availability, expected delivery dates and lead times.
- To liaise with the works team to ensure works orders are delivered / collected in time to satisfy the customer delivery date.
- To raise and send service orders to the supply chain for an array of products and services.
- Assisting with other general office duties as and when necessary.
- To execute any other relevant tasks as deemed necessary.

The Candidate

Prior experience within a purchasing role would be beneficial. The successful candidate will have a high level of personal organisation & time management skills and ideally knowledge of the industry, product and market.

You will also have strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers/customers to identify their needs.

You must have excellent IT skills and the ability to problem solve.
