A new and exciting opportunity has come up in Fleet Laboratories within the supply chain department, as a Purchasing Assistant you will be responsible for providing technical support to the purchasing process and assigned department staff, you will have specific responsibility for processing bid and purchasing documents and materials and responding to related inquiries and maintaining vendor/source information and inventories.

You will be responsible for:

- Placing all chemical/packaging/free-issue/indirect (critical orders placed within 3 hours non-critical within 3 working days
- Process current MRP System, insure that PO placement, expediting, de-expediting and cancels are reviewed and completed
- Process Dermal free issue packaging orders as per agreements
- Regularly review and maintain data in the ERP to ensure 100% accuracy
Insure all short and damaged deliveries are dealt with in a timely manner, and liaise with the accounts team.
-Maintenance and regular communication of 'orderbook’ with suppliers. Target is to maintain OTIF at 97%

What you need to succeed:

- Good work ethic
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience within a purchasing function
- Good working knowledge of MS office
- Exceptional communicator who is self-motivated
- Able to work well in a team
