Main duties include:
- Supporting the continuations (series/standing orders) and purchasing work flow. To actively support continuations with responsibility for own set of series and publishers. To support the wider team with administrative tasks on an adhoc basis.
- Monitoring of mailboxes for new orders, claims and cancellations
- Monitoring of orders not recorded on the system
- Monitoring of aged stock
- Managing Pro-forma orders within a spreadsheet
- Liaising with colleagues from various teams on orders and updates
- To manage print and digital standing orders and online subscriptions
- To research, set-up and maintain series records on a database
- To establish and maintain standing orders with publishers
- To purchase on a timely basis (upon publication) series titles where standing orders can not be published
- Chasing orders and updating system
- Any other associated tasks

Candidate skills and experience expectations:
- Degree level education (or equivalent)
- Knowledge and/or experience within a purchasing environment
- Knowledge of one or more European language (German, French, Spanish, Italian) desirable
- Knowledge of bibliographic data
- Knowledge of catalouging rules (AARC2) and subject classifications (LC, DEWEY, NML)
- Experience of working with publishers, wholesalers and agents
- Must be able to communicate effectively to the highest level in writing and orally
- PC literate, excellent understanding of Microsoft, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Attention to detail, working in a logical, methodical manner
