This family run business specialises in the complete refurbishment of commercial toilet rooms, shower areas, and changing facilities. Due to continued expansion, an exciting opportunity exists for a Project Manager at their London office located in Bexley, Kent.

The Role
As Project Manager you will be take ownership of the project from day one where you will be expected to take on full operational & commercial management of the project and act as the client’s day to day point of contact right the way through to final hand over.

They enjoy working as the Principal Contractor for their ”end-user” clients meaning they work directly for Schools, Offices, Hospitals, and Leisure Centres. Their customers are Seniors in their own organisation, so you will feel comfortable communicating with Managing Directors, Head Masters, and Business Owners alike.

You will be heavily involved in the procurement of materials, programming, and cost management, having full understanding and of the project’s finer details. Your abilities as a strong man-manger will be key to delivering a successful project. You will be totally responsible for the day to day management of your team and be used to making quick decisions and changes, across multiples projects.

Quality is key to their success – your team will be looking to you for decisions on how the installation should be carried out and it will be your responsibility to set the expected levels needed to achieve the perfect finish. You will have a strong working knowledge on the various trades involved in the project which will include plumbing, electrics, carpentry, tiling, wall cladding, and ceiling / partition fitting.

Essential Skills
- Strong organiser and planner - you will need to manage the timely ordering of materials and programming of labour.
- Good relationship builder – you will need to motivate a successful project and future business by building good relationships with Clients, Suppliers, Colleagues and Sub-Contractors.
- Strong attention to detail – handing over your project snag free is the benchmark to a successful project.
- Good communicator – you will need to be able to communicate exactly how you want works carried out to your team.
- Tradesperson – Time served working in your trade. Ideally you will be a carpenter or plumber.
- Self-motivator – you’re the boss on site so you will need to lead by example.
- IT Competent – good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel when planning projects and communicating with clients.

What Can You Expect?
Salary £35,000-40,000. Bonus. Vehicle. 20 days holiday plus Bank holidays.
