Reports to: Contracts Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week
Holiday: 28 days including public holidays
Package: £40,000-£50,000 depending upon experience, plus company car or car allowance, plus profit-related bonus scheme

This company is a specialist contractor providing design, supply and installation of metal eaves, rainwater goods and specialist cladding, with offices in Stafford, Staffordshire and Kings Langley, Hertfordshire.

Position overview
The role of Project Manager, which is based in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, will be managing projects in an efficient manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, completing all projects on time and within budget, maximising gross profit without compromising quality.

Comfortable and proficient in taking ownership of projects including the key measures of meeting deadlines, managing budget, reporting to management, and having overall responsibility for on time delivery and successful completion.

Your time will be split approximately 70% office-based, 30% site-based.

Qualifications and Experience
- Successful project management experience relating to sub-contract trades on new build and refurbishment projects
- Experience with roofing, specialised cladding or exterior architectural products
- Driving licence
- CSCS card, any level
- SSSTS*
*Training will be provided following appointment where necessary

Skills
- Ability and determination to keep projects on course
- Able to communicate with site-level contacts e.g. site managers and installation teams, promoting the company brand at site level
- Systematic use of management tools for smooth running of projects
- Good grasp of commercial nature of projects, numerate
- Design awareness, attention to detail and the ability to identify design issues early
- Reliability in reporting
- Proficient in high-level professional communication – verbal and written both internal and external
- Able to communicate well and run meetings professionally with Client and Site Team

- Report and follow-up from site visit
- Supervise installation H&S
- Deliver H&S toolbox talks
- Check scope of works
- Hand over stages to technician
- Supervise production process
- Source specialist suppliers
- Issue preliminary installation details
- Create & issue H&S package
- Order plant
- Resolve installation queries
- Handle on-site design changes
- Manage attendances on site
- Provide general fixings
- Review project budget
- Monitor changes to budget
- Raise potential variations
- Obtain approval for variations
- Agree final account
