Our client are exhibition and display stand experts, specialising in exhibition stands and retail displays, based in Coventry, West Midlands.

Position overview
You will as Project Manager, free up the Client Executive from detail and deliver a successful project, which will be on-time, on budget and will result in creating/retaining a raving fan in your client.

Qualifications and Experience
- At least two years’ experience in a Project Manager role within the exhibition stand industry.

- Strong Project management skills
- Skilled in time and task management
- Dedication to detail and a committal to take responsibility for your project
- Needs to be able to work well with a Team
- Excellent written communication skills, including excellent typing skills and ability to listen and type at the same time
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office suite)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive “can-do” attitude
- Ability to carry out assignments through to completion
- Must be trustworthy, accountable, and obedient.


Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Taking a project brief from the account manager and ensuring that you have fully understood every detail, to the extent that if you didn’t have another meeting about the project with the Account Manager you could still put forward what you believe is a winning proposal
- Set out the project scope and schedule setting key dates and setting up the necessary tools (e.g. Clarity, Smartsheet)
- Arrange meetings with designers and specifiers accordingly to build a solution that will fully meet the customers brief
- Through liaising with the designers, specifiers and suppliers, create an estimate for the project in clarity ready for the relevant Account Manager to review.
- On clarification of the costings from the Account Manager and the GP they have given you to work with, create a well-presented proposal that can be presented to the client.
- On confirmation of an order for a project, arrange a discussion with specification and Operations to specify the project and get the project booked into production.
- Follow the project through, still keeping the various departments involved on schedule and holding progress meetings where necessary.
- Through the duration of fulfilment of the project, keep a constant track of specified GP over against actual GP.
- Throughout the duration of the project keep the client and Account Manager informed of the progress on a regular basis.
- Visit site during installation and ensure smooth installation process, liaising with the client on any questions or issues, including snagging. (This could involve travelling and unsociable hours)
- If there are issues with a project, you will need to work with the Account Manager to create a solution and it will be your responsibility to ensure that the resolution is carried out quickly and profitably.
- At the end of a project draw up a project conclusion, confirm the final actual GP and close the job off.
