This company is looking for a Project Manager to join their team of professionals forging ahead with ambitious growth plans to offer total washroom solutions to Tier 1 Contractors, predominantly in Central London.

Position overview

Initially this role will involve learning the company way including working with internal Design Managers and existing sub-contractors and suppliers.

The successful candidate will need to have enthusiasm and drive to help the team in the transition period from a washroom ‘furniture’ installer to the full washroom fit out.

Pre-contracts, bid-writing experience is essential to drive the project from concept to completion.

It is expected the successful candidate will have specialist subcontractor experience to bring to the table.

This appointment will assist in leading and driving high end commercial washroom projects, mainly in Central London.

Desirable experience
- Contract legal knowledge such as JCT11
- Microsoft AX experience
- Prepared to work unsociable hours if required, including night works
- Able and willing to impart industry knowledge and Project Management skills to less experienced members of the team

Essential Requirements
- Proven record of accomplishment of successful delivery of high quality projects with detailed deigns (preferably commercial washrooms)
- Comfortable and proficient in taking ownership of projects including the key measures of meeting deadlines, managing budget, reporting to management, and having overall responsibility for on time delivery and successful completion.
- Familiar with a range of interior trades including drylining and ceilings, wall and floor tiling, IPS, vanity units and cubicle systems , M&E works and sanitary ware, glass and decorations etc
- Practical working knowledge in construction including pre-contract take off’s
- Build-up of prelims for proposal preparation
- Oversee drawing up programme/sequencing for submission to Main Contractor
- Design awareness and eye for detail
- Able to communicate well and run meetings professionally with Architect, Client, Site Team and Company Team present
- Proficient in high-level professional communication – verbal and written both internal and external
- Work with and escalate issues to management as required
- Typical contract values from 500K to 3m and increasing
- Ability to accurately survey dimensions for manufacturing and understand setting out on site
- Manage site fitting teams with periodic site visits, ensuring client satisfaction
- Prepare applications and negotiate final account settlement
- SMSTS qualified, CSCS card holder, asbestos awareness, first aider, IOSH Health & Safety
- Ready to report daily on activities and site progress
- Computer literate with Microsoft suite of standard programs including MS projects
- Be familiar with and prepare site documentation: RAMS / Attendances / Tool Box Talks / Health & Safety at site level
