This an opportunity to join large Business travel company with offices based across the UK including Manchester, London and in mainland Europe as well as the USA.

They are seeking a Project Manager for a fixed term contract of 12 Months.

The ideal candidate will come from a technology background and be highly-skilled in balancing the crafting of solid business requirements with managing multiple projects with varying complexity from initiation through closure. Responsible for the full project lifecycle, you'll develop credible plans and requirements and drive them to a successful conclusion within strict deadlines. And, throughout, you'll display strong, natural leadership and be able to handle often-conflicting demands.

Objective:

To deliver projects using sound project management methodology and help cultivate an environment of accountability.

Job Tasks:

- Implementation of solid project management methodology into the growing business
- Management of a mixture of Agile and Waterfall deliverables
- Liaise with business customers to effectively communicate processes and plans
- Facilitate project-related meetings
- Obtain sign-off during critical project phases
- Develop and maintain project timetables, resource allocations, and budgetary costing
- Pro actively monitor projects for risks, raising awareness when necessary and coordinating mitigations
- Manage all project-related communication to the highest standard.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

- Demonstrable understanding of project management lifecycle and fundamentals in terms of planning, monitoring and control with prior history of managing development and change
- Proven experience delivering multiple IT projects to time and budget
- Outstanding communication, meeting management/facilitation, and presentation skills including board-level presentations
- Demonstrable experience of managing multiple complex, mixed technical environment project
- Demonstrable experience of managing geographically distributed resources over whom they have no direct control
- Demonstrable experience of project budget and resource forecasting

Personal characteristics

- Experience in the travel industry
- Hardware & Software delivery experience
- IT background
