This company is a power stability expert, dedicated to all around solutions for electrical power generation, transmission and distribution. These solutions cover Protection, Automation and Control, HVDC, FACTS, Renewable Energy and BESS.

They are now looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join their team based in Manchester focused on delivering projects in the UK and expanding into Europe. The prime responsibility is to assist the Lead Project Manager with the project execution including design co-ordination, procurement, manufacture, site installation, commissioning and project closure.

The role will involve direct engagement with their customers, collaboration with their design and manufacturing team in China and working with regional interface designers and installation teams. The role will involve travelling and working away from home within the UK, Europe and ROW.

Key Duties:
. participate in the preparation of tender documentation, ensuing commercial terms and conditions are clear, agreed and understood
. progress the project deliverables against the programme and budget ensuring manage change control and ensuring compliance with QA systems
. ability to read drawings and interpret designs correctly
. report progress of project, internally and to client
. ensure projects are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner
. ensuring projects delivered with health and safety as a priority

Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years ideally with project management, engineering experience with an electrical engineering bias
- Bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering from an UK or overseas university
- UK Driving licence
- Willing to travel with overnight stays
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business - including clients and contractors

Requirements preferred:
- Proficient with Microsoft project
- Experience of the Construction Regulations 2015
- Experience within the power industry
- Experience of NEC and FIDIC contracts
- UK Health and Safety Qualification
- Flexible and proactive approach
