The Project Engineer reports to the Project Manager and with the exception of time, budget and strategy is responsible for implementing the responsibilities of the Project Manager.

The Project Engineer is responsible for the timely reporting of project schedule and cost to the Project Manager.

- Implementation of relevant actions to mitigate agreed risks to the agreed budget and reporting of same
- Verifying the timely reconciliation of costs/hours to the project
- Managing projects to the satisfaction of the Project Manager
- Implementing project strategies as defined by the Project Manager
- Identifying and verifying the timely deployment of the agreed resources by the Leads and Commercial Manager throughout the project
- Supporting the Project Manager in defining the project workscope, accurate estimates and where relevant challenge and agree input from disciplines and planning
- Executing all project monitoring activities (i.e. policing, progress meetings, etc.) that ensures the project workscope is executed in accordance with the agreed processes and procedures
- Monitoring and verifying that the agreed cost of technical integrity is met and where relevant the timely raising of PCR’s to meet changes in TI scope
- Monitoring and verifying that the agreed project deliverables are delivered to schedule
- Accountable for the timely delivery of contract/TI compliant fabrications & materials from the suppliers to the warehouse
- Implementing the project control and reporting requirements as specified by the Project Manager
- Supporting the successful handover and closeout the project to client/operations
- Ensuring that project file status is accurate and up to date (including closeout documentation)
- Supporting the documentation and feedback of project lessons learnt
- Delivering relevant engineering performance criteria (KPI’s) within the section and project
- Ensuring that agreed engineering policies and processes are implemented within the project

Knowledge and Qualifications:

Background and Qualifications
- To be of graduate or Diploma calibre or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline
- Must have experience in working to equipment standards such as DNV, Lloyds, EN and ISO regulations
- Excellent maths aptitude
- Experience of participating in teams of multidiscipline engineers and designers
- As you will be in regular contact with our key clients you will be a confident ambassador for the company with good follow through and attention to detail

IT Skills
- Have a good level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications as Word, Excel, Project etc.
- Advanced Excel skills and first class MS Office application skills
- Competent with Drafting Tools Solidworks and AutoCAD

Other Skills & Requirements
- Be willing to travel throughout the UK and the World depending upon the requirements of the projects at the time.
- Hold or willing to gain offshore working certificate and work offshore
- Willing to work on site as required
