The network for Britain’s thousands of co-operatives, this company works to promote, develop and unite member-owned businesses worth £37bn to the economy. They have a fantastic opportunity for a pro-active and resourceful Project Coordinator to support the delivery of an exciting new programme and contribute to their project management processes and structures.

This company is delivering a suite of exciting and innovative projects that aim to support co-operative and community enterprise; both in the UK and across Europe. Their portfolio of programmes cover three core areas:
- Co-operative development
- Community Shares
- Place based economic development

They are looking for an experienced Project Co-ordinator to provide effective support to the Project Manager with the delivery of the Empowering Places Programme and support work across their project portfolio, as part of their small but ambitious team.
Empowering Places is new programme that seeks to reduce poverty and inequality through community business. Funded by Power to Change, Empowering Places aims to accelerate the growth of community business and demonstrate the conditions required for community business to flourish. The Programme is working with seven places within towns and small cities across England and will be delivered through local organisations in partnership with other stakeholders and the community.

This is an exciting role to support a flagship place-based programme, working within a dynamic projects team at the company and alongside the project partners – New Economics Foundation and Centre for Local Economic Strategies.

You will be an Independent, imaginative, and entrepreneurial doer, willing and able to work independently, or as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy. You will have an interest in co-operative and community enterprise, experience of administration with excellent co-ordination and IT skills and hold strong relationship and client management skills, able to adapt style to influence across a range of audiences and situations.
