Production Technician
Burnley, Lancashire
£16,100 to £16,575 p.a depending on qualifications and experience

£8.50/hr 37.5hrs per week 8.45pm -5pm Mon–Thu, 9am – 4.00pm Friday

An award-winning, fast-growing pharmaceutical & sports supplement manufacturing company are looking for someone to manufacture sports supplements who has a high attention to detail, able to work under their own supervision and takes the level of cleanliness of their work environment very seriously.

Main Duties:
Dispensing - you will need to dispense and weigh a number of different materials from bulk bags and drums to small quantities required according to a picking list.

Mixing and Blending – you will need to mix and blend materials to a specific recipe. This will involve using pre-dispensed materials along with additional materials according to a picking list.

Compression and Encapsulation - you will be tasked with the running of compression and encapsulation machinery. Other duties will include a series of in production tests to ensure the product meets the specification.

Quality Control – you will be responsible for ensuring quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.

Cleaning/Maintenance - you will be required to clean, maintain and set up your area and equipment to a high standard.

Requirements of Candidate:
They are looking for a self-motivated, organised team player with an eye for detail. The candidate must be literate, numerate and computer savvy. You are required to have GCSE’s of C or above in Maths, English & Science. They require a person who is fit and healthy and likes to keep busy as well as being reliable and hard working.

Experience
- Working within a manufacturing environment
- Operating machinery in a work environment
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based data recording systems
- Working without supervision and using own initiative
- Working to standard operating procedures
