Salary £28,000-33,500 per annum DOE

Working hours: 37.5 a week

They have a vacancy for a Production Team Leader to work in their Test Equipment Department.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:

Leading, guiding, developing and inspiring a mixed team of machinists, mechanical and electrical engineers manufacturing a variety of test equipment, stores control, dispatch, internal maintenance and servicing operations, ensuring the quality of production and calibration of the test machines, management of parts and service supply with third party manufacturers.

You will be required to have a good knowledge of an MRP system and working alongside the Head of Test Equipment ensure that it is strictly adhered to. You will also be required to coordinate continuous improvement in production efficiency, support product development for e.g. prototyping etc, to ensure external and internal customer satisfaction.

It is essential that the successful candidate will have an appropriate engineering Qualification and excellent team leadership skills.

Have previous experience of MRP, electrical or mechanical production engineering experience and to be able to read engineering drawings and specifications. The candidate will also be required to lead, motivate and inspire engineering production functions. It is also essential for candidate to be able to build relationships across the business and with external subcontractors, and have experience of planning and implementing small run production.
