This is an excellent opportunity to become part of the Production Team at this exciting technology company.
The successful candidate will manage the transfer of new products from R&D to Production, as well as the continuous improvement of production methods, testing and calibration of company branded equipment.
Role & Responsibilities: Under limited supervision:
- To provide Design for Manufacture & Assembly input into designs for ease of manufacture and cost reduction where possible
- Propose current and develop new manufacturing technologies, methods and materials that will improve production capabilities and production output
- Create process documentation such as manufacturing procedures, assembly procedures, inspection procedures and reports.
- Provide technical and manufacturing support to the various internal departments.
- Identify the root cause of manufacturing faults and appropriate corrective actions.
- Support operations by controlling the drawing, document release/update procedure.
- To control the request for design modification process from internal departments back into development.
- By liaising with Customer Support & Internal Sales, manage the RMAs to the satisfaction of the customers using internal document tracking software.
Qualifications
- Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering with suitable experience or HND or equivalent in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering with significant applicable experience.
- Apprentice trained with formal accreditation.
- Trained in the use of 2D/3D CAD Design tools.
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project).
- The ability to interpret detailed design assembly and piece part component drawings
- Knowledge of materials and a wide range of manufacturing processes associated with component manufacture and system build level production.
- Ability to analyse and interpret specification document, technical procedures
- Knowledge & experience of SMED, Lean Manufacturing tools & technique
