This company are looking to hire new Operators within their production team based in Calne, Wiltshire. The prime purpose of this role is to operate either the lamination or extrusion lines safely and efficiently, packing profiles to fulfil demand at the highest quality standards.

Key duties include:

- Extrude profiles or laminate profiles to fulfil demand, adhering to relevant standards and procedures
- Maintain the required run speed of the line, keeping a constant supply of profile being fed into the line and keeping the appropriate gap between lengths as requested by the Team Leader
- Feed profiles into the lamination lines and ensure that full primer coverage is gained. Monitoring visually with a UV lamp every third length. Reporting any failings immediately to the Team Leader
- Supply the line with the correct size & reference number foil as per the production schedule
- Record all necessary data on Production Run Sheet, Process Condition Sheet and Daily Log
- Identify any faults that may be present with the profile, segregate accordingly and report immediately.
- Control Scrap level to approved minimum, following correct procedures and informing relevant personnel of any issues.
- Pack extruded/laminated profiles in to stillages to fulfil demand at highest quality standards following correct procedures.

The successful candidate will be:

- Naturally manually dexterous
- Excellent attention to detail, working to a consistent high standard of work
- Keen to learn with a proactive, positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Self organised, with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Able to make decisions within set parameters to own, manage, and resolve problems.
- Interpersonal, with good verbal and written communication skills
- A team player, approachable and supportive of others

Also desirable, but not essential for the role is:

- A mechanical background either in work or hobbies
- Previous experience in a packing or production role
- Experience or knowledge of extrusion or lamination process
- Forklift operating experience

Working Hours:
Average of 42 hours per week, operating a 3 on 3 off rotating shift pattern of 12 hour shifts.

The standard working hours are 06:00 – 18:00 (Days) and 18:00 – 06:00 (Nights). Although the hours may vary during initial training.
